I finally finished taking down my Christmas decorations today. I felt a little bit like the Grinch, but I guess it’s okay to finally be done with it. The saddest part was taking down the fake mistletoe. I never even got a chance to use it! Oh well--maybe next year. . . .
Heather’s been sick for a few days. :-( I won’t give any of the gruesome details of her ailment, but I’ve been trying to get her to eat oat bran and butter (small amounts mixed in with her normal food). She is uncharacteristically unhungry (or seems to be) and also not nearly as pesky as normal. I’ve been trying to spend more QLT with her just in case this is her final illness. I’ve been using that time to compose eulogies and requiems in my head, which is a bad thing to do as it makes me very sad. She doesn’t seem to be getting any worse, which is a good thing, but I also hope she gets better soon.
